Disaster Relief

Ongoing Support and Supplemental Needs

After the immediate response comes the relief. This includes anything that helps in the need of cleaning out and cleaning up of that which was affected by the disaster. At ABMI we build Care Boxes filled with items used for each particular need.

These Crews are needed for this Phase:

  • Care Box Crew: This team works at home before and during an actual disaster.  Men's groups, ladies groups, youth groups, Sunday School classes, etc., can get involved in collecting and packaging the care boxes.  This is a great opportunity to be involved in disaster relief for those who are not suited for working on site during a disaster environment.
  • TRANSPORTATION CREW: This would be a man power crew that would be interested in the loading of trucks and transporting relief supplies to the disaster area.  Truck size could range from pick-ups to semis, depending upon the need, and will supply emergency relief without regard to an individual's financial standing on a temporary basis.
